What is ALAM?

ALAM is the Association of Lecturers in Agricultural Machinery.

It started in 1960, as exactly that - lecturers in agricultural machinery from the Agricultural Colleges all across the UK getting together to share their common interest.

ALAM organises training days for its members, usually (but not exclusively) hosted by machinery manufacturers, so that we keep up to date with the latest developments and technology.

Like the industry and colleges in which we work, in recent years ALAM has broadened its range to embrace horticultural machinery and motor sports engineering.

ALAM is an informal group, and welcomes anyone who has an interest in land-based engineering.
